Awesome machine, but wish I got the 6-cell battery, By Fernando Sanchez, Jr. (Fresno, CA) - I just got this same laptop yesterday from Verizon, and I wish I would have thought of the battery life. I have managed to run it with the Verizon Mobile Broadband service for around 2 and a half hours on Linux with the 3 cell battery (I may not have set the optimum power management settings and the mobile broadband modem probably consumes a lot of power).

My next purchase will be a six-cell battery, though, cos I love this netbook. Once you get used to the layout of the keys (all keys were about one key left of where I expected them to be), it is a wonderful and zippy little thing.

It runs Windows very nicely, and runs Ubuntu Netbook Remix beautifully (once you figure out how to install bcmwl-kernel-source from the installation ISO). I had no problem installing Ubuntu using a usb drive and unetbootin. Once I had the wi-fi working, I was able to set up the Verizon Wireless Broadband with gobi_loader.

All in all, this is a wonderful laptop that would be even more incredible with the six-cell battery.
Just to give people an idea, I am a django developer, and this has now become my work computer.
