This is the newest model (W211AX) of Sony's Netbooks and has a extended battery life. While others may complain of the battery- I like the fact that it elevates the netbook up towards you. Depending on the surfing you do- you may have a bit less battery life than advertised. I ordered the pink Vaio and couldn't be more pleased. It was everything I expected it to be and then some. The Track pad is reasonably sized and much larger than most. The screen clarity is amazing. My only complaint is where the speakers are situated for the volume. I simply resolved this issue on my own and use my ipod head phones when listening to sound. To the lower right of screen you may also adjust zoom level. Your options are 100, 125, and 150. If you do increase the zoom level- You do loose a bit of viewing and must scroll from side to side. The keyboard buttons are a bit elevated and makes it easier for typing. The only other downfall that I could say would be that the netbook only comes with Windows 7 Starter. With this program starter version you are unable to change desktop background. Bummer... I love that I can install my SD card and download my photos too. Perfect for web surfing, downloading pics, typing, emails, etc.

Great Desktop Replacement for those on the go., January 27, 2010
By Terry Stegehuis - My desktop crashed and my wife and I wanted to replace it with a laptop since we travel and use Skype with photo editing and video editing. My wife also watches Hulu and wanted a fairly decent screen. We were not disappointed. Toshiba won us over and we will continue to buy their products. Love the large RAM and hard drive. Video quality is excellent and the addition of Blu-Ray made it all the better. It had other qualities that HP and Sony did not offer at the time. Toshiba was on of the first to go with Window's 7 on this large screen laptop. I also needed a fast processor as I use Pinnacle Studios to create multi media projects. This computer was up to the task.

Impressive laptop, January 3, 2010 By Mark D (New York) - I wanted a large screen laptop that I could use around the house. This computer satisfied my requirement. The screen is very large and sharp. My best photos come up large and crisp. Beautiful colors. The speakers are wonderful and were an unexpected surprise. It is like wearing a good set of earphones. The computer is silent. I do not hear the fans or drive. It is very fast.

I did not like the style in the store (Best Buy) since it is shiny black and I prefer a flat finish. But once I got it home I realized it is very smart, modernistic. My wife who is picky on such matters remarked that it is beautiful. The keys are flat like minature tiles but this is ok with me and I would prefer if the function keys were set somewhat lower. It smudges but you only see this in direct light and it wipes off anyway.

I would not buy this computer for travelling due to its size. But as a home laptop it is great. I am very happy with my choice.

It looks great and so far everything is good. My only concern is that i don't know how to tell if it's actually an i5 Processor. It says i3 everywhere and i guess we just need to trust the story that it was a mistaken i5 processor.

The HP Mini 210 is a great netbook overall. It features a Intel GMA 3150 which is capable of streaming video over sites such as youtube, hulu, etc; it doesn't stream any type of HD that great, however. I was even able to play older games such as Deus Ex, Aliens vs. Predator and even Unreal Tournament just fine. If you can't afford to pay the extra $100 for the HP 311 which sports a Nvidia ION, this netbook will serve you well.

The keyboard is 93% full size and is great to type on. I'm a computer science student and I was delightfully surprised to see how comfortable it was to program on this netbook. If you plan to do any type of creative writing or programming, this netbook is ideal for that.

I admit, it's taking me awhile to get use to the slower execution speeds and limits of multitasking with a netbook, but this HP seems to be faster then other netbooks I've tried. As long as you aren't trying to perform more then 2-3 tasks at a time, all is well and speedy.

My major grip is with the touchpad. The left and right buttons aren't independent of the touchpad itself; you can move the mouse if you move your finger within either click buttons. I like to keep my finger on the left button as a I navigate the touchpad with my other finger, but on this netbook it causes the pointer to jump around the screen. It's just going to take a bit to change my style, but I would have preferred two buttons that were separate from the actual touchpad.

Battery is life is advertised at 4 hours, but I've seen around 3 thus far. As soon as a replacement 6-cell battery is released, I will be purchasing and that should satisfy my needs.

4 out of 5 stars for this netbook due to the touchpad and inability to stream HD videos properly.
